Well known for manufacturing their own highly regarded movements in the late 60s – 80s, Chopard launched the the Mille Miglia collection in 1988, a line of sporty chronographs with quartz or self winding movements which became one of Chopard’s most successful collections.

Chopard sponsored the legendary vintage car race for the 19th time in 2006.

The race was held annually from 1927 to 1957 and was revived in 1977. The mille miglia takes its competitors over a distance of 1000 miles through magnificent Italian countryside from Brescia to Rome and back again.

As a keen fan of vintage cars, Karl Friedrich Scheufele has played an active part in the race since 1988. The chopard co-chairman sees an evident link between luxury watches and elegant vintage cars: Lovers of find automobiles are said to have a weakness for precious timekeepers and vice versa. In both domains, extreme precision and sporting elegance play an important role



In 2004, a limited edition of the Chopard mille Migliawas launched by Chopard.

It featured a lovely see through sapphire crystal back as well as a GMT function with 3 chronographic sub dials.

An instant hit at that time, it has stayed popular through the years with an update in 2005 featuring a vulcanized  rubber band with the famous 1960s Dunlop Racing tyre-tread motif.

Our research has shown that one of our higly regarded replica swiss site, Swissreplicastores.com has just launched a mini collection of the Chopard Mille Miglia watches.
They feature both the 2004 and 2005 (limited edition rose gold) versions of the GMT watches.

Do note that the actual production numbers for these editions are limited to 2004 pieces for the 2004 version and 2005 pieces for the 2005 edition, and only 250 pieces for the rose gold version which the site carries.

The 2004 version sports the classic Black or brown "Barrenia" leather strap with the multiple indentations in the leather band and comes currently in a black dial version.
And the 2005 version has the vulcanized rubber band and comes in a silver dial.

Both replica watches are steel chronographs equipped with self-winding chronometer movements. It has a power-reserve of approx. 46-hour. The silvery colored dial for the 2005version features highly readable sporty black counters and the 2004 version comes in a black dial. They are both equipped with a tachometric scale for reading off speeds of between 60 and 240 km/h.
